Klickitat County is hiring a Designated Crisis Responder (DCR) to join its Behavioral Health team in Goldendale, Washington. The DCR provides crisis intervention and support to individuals experiencing mental health or substance use crises.

Salary & Compensation
$65,395 - $73,611 per year
Qualification
Candidates must hold a Master's degree in social work, counseling, or a related field, and have at least two years of clinical experience. Eligibility for registration as an Agency Affiliated Counselor or an active license as LMHC, LICSW, or equivalent is required.

- Knowledge of evidence-based theories, principles, and practices for evaluating and treating social, emotional, and behavioral difficulties.
- Knowledge of DSM and American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) criteria.
- Knowledge of case management and community support criteria, with ability to maintain accurate records.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and county rules and regulations (WAC, RCW, contract requirements.).
- Proficient in standard office equipment and software including Excel and Word.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and knowledge of HIPAA regulations for mental health and chemical dependency records.
- Valid Washington State driver's license and ability to pass a criminal background check.
Role Responsibilities
Receive crisis calls from individuals, law enforcement, medical facilities, and service providers.
- Respond in the community to assess individuals for safety and gather information.
- Determine the least restrictive environment for crisis resolution and stabilization.
- Arrange client placements for voluntary or involuntary hospitalization or detox services.
- Communicate with Behavioral Health team about clients who have had crisis contact and participate in safety planning.
- Complete extensive clinical and legal documentation for each call, maintaining records and progress notes.
- Provide testimony in court as required.
- Attend weekly supervision and team meetings, and perform quality management and chart reviews.
