Salary / Pay Package: $107,370 - $115,190 per year.

Candidates must hold a Juris Doctor or equivalent degree and be a member in good standing of the State Bar of Washington. A valid driver's license in the state of residence is required.

• Juris Doctor or equivalent degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with the Washington State Bar Association.
• Valid driver's license in state of residence.
• Knowledge of Washington criminal law, procedure, and evidence.
• Ability to research legal issues and draft pleadings.
• Experience or interest in district court litigation preferred.
• Strong communication and courtroom advocacy skills.

Represent the State in district court cases including gross misdemeanors, probation violations, and traffic infractions.

• Research legal bases for complaints and cases to determine legal sufficiency.
• Review and prepare physical evidence for court proceedings.
• Interview witnesses and request further investigation by law enforcement as needed.
• Evaluate cases for disposition, prepare charges, and draft plea agreements.
• Appear on behalf of the State in hearings and jury trials.
• Draft legal pleadings including informations, criminal complaints, jury instructions, trial briefs, and motions in limine.
• Consult with law enforcement on legal issues related to criminal investigations.
