Qualification

Candidates must hold a Juris Doctor or equivalent degree and be a member in good standing of the State Bar of Washington. A valid driver's license in the state of residence is required.

Role Responsibilities

  • Interview witnesses and request further investigation by law enforcement as needed.
  • Evaluate cases for disposition, prepare charges, and draft plea agreements.
  • Appear on behalf of the State in hearings and jury trials.
  • Draft legal pleadings including informations, criminal complaints, jury instructions, trial briefs, and motions in limine.
  • Consult with law enforcement on legal issues related to criminal investigations.
