Job Description

The FBI is seeking Special Agents to investigate federal crimes including cyberattacks, terrorism, fraud, and other threats to national security.

As a Special Agent, you will plan and conduct investigations, exercise judgment and resourcefulness in meeting investigative demands, and maintain liaison with federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international law enforcement agencies.

You will coordinate or participate in searches, seizures, and arrests, carry a firearm, and maintain physical fitness. This role is exempt from the federal civilian hiring freeze and offers the opportunity to directly impact national security.

The position is based in Washington, DC, with assignment to any of the FBI's 56 field offices after training. New Agent Trainees receive locality pay for the DC area plus 25% availability pay. Upon graduation, salary adjusts to the locality of your assigned office.

Salary / Pay Package: $99,461 - $128,329 per year.

Qualification

All applicants must have a bachelor's degree from a U.S. Accredited college or university and at least two years of full-time work experience (or one year with an advanced degree). You must also demonstrate Specialized Experience (SE) in gathering and analyzing information, problem-solving, organizing competing assignments, managing complex environments, and communicating orally and in writing.
