This position is exempt from the federal civilian hiring freeze. The salary range of $99,461 to $164,785 per year includes base pay, locality pay for the Washington, D.C. Area, and availability pay (25% of base plus locality).

Upon graduation, salary adjusts to your office assignment's locality.

Salary / Pay Package: $99,461 - $164,785 per year.

Qualification

This position is open only to current federal law enforcement officers in the 1811 series (DSS 2501s also considered) with at least two years of continuous full-time experience. You must also meet the following requirements.

  • Be a U.S. citizen.
  • Have a bachelor's degree or higher from a U.S.-accredited college or university.
  • Be a current Federal Law Enforcement Officer (occupational series 1811; DSS 2501s will also be considered).
  • Possess 2 years of continuous full-time federal law enforcement (1811 or DSS
  • work experience.
  • Be eligible for a Top-Secret SCI Clearance.
  • Be able to legally possess and carry a firearm.
  • Be at least 23 years old and not have reached your 37th birthday on appointment (exceptions may apply).
  • Meet the FBI's Employment Eligibility requirements.
  • Meet the medical and physical requirements of the position.
  • Possess a valid driver's license with at least six months driving experience.
