Role Responsibilities

Serves as an assistant performing freight shipment, transportation, and supply support functions for worldwide movements to aerial ports or the Continental United States (CONUS).

  • Prepares and issues Material Release Order (MRO) paperwork, processes exception data requisitions, and handles emergency requisitions with accelerated delivery requirements.
  • Initiates, releases, completes, verifies, and processes all documentation associated with the surface, air, and vessel shipment of hazardous freight.
  • Provides enroute instructions with shipment size, shape, weight, and packing requirements, arranges urgent routings outside normal channels, and selects shipment mode.
  • Obtains efficient transportation services at the lowest cost and recommends routing or mode changes for the most economical rates to meet delivery dates.
  • Arranges and expedites material release orders for emergency shipments, researches and responds to customer inquiries related to the status of shipments, processes violations and cancelations, and researches open lines and late shipments.
