• Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position
• To qualify at the GS-07 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector
• Applicants must meet eligibility requirements, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement
• Creditable specialized experience includes: Determines the most efficient economical rates and routes to final destination involving domestic inbound and export shipments

• This is a Defense Industrial Base (DIB) Direct Hiring Authority notice open to the Public in the commuting area.

Serves as an assistant performing freight shipment, transportation, and supply support functions for worldwide movements to aerial ports or the Continental United States (CONUS).

• Prepares and issues Material Release Order (MRO) paperwork, processes exception data requisitions, and handles emergency requisitions with accelerated delivery requirements.
• Initiates, releases, completes, verifies, and processes all documentation associated with the surface, air, and vessel shipment of hazardous freight.
• Provides enroute instructions with shipment size, shape, weight, and packing requirements, arranges urgent routings outside normal channels, and selects shipment mode.
• Obtains efficient transportation services at the lowest cost and recommends routing or mode changes for the most economical rates to meet delivery dates.
• Arranges and expedites material release orders for emergency shipments, researches and responds to customer inquiries related to the status of shipments, processes violations and cancelations, and researches open lines and late shipments.
