Role Responsibilities

The purpose of this position is to provide customer service in the check out and receipt of automotive repair equipment, inventory maintenance and scheduling appointments for use of automotive repair/paint stalls within Auto Hobby

  • Issues, receives and schedules use of equipment, tools and repair/paint stalls for patrons
  • Uses chit or other parts assignment system for accountability of assigned tools
  • Determines type of repair job involved and suggests a variety of tools needed to accomplish the repair
  • Provides instructions to customers on cleaning processes, soiled rag disposal, sweeping and cleanup of repair or pit stall and removal of excess automotive parts
  • Ensures tools turned-in are clean, assesses breakage or damage if any
  • charging customer for tools according to prescribed price listing
  • Operates cash register and accounts for cash using established procedures
  • Maintains inventory control records of items issued, conducts minor maintenance and repair of tools and equipment
  • Accounts for condition, inspects tools upon return, bins, stores or replaces item with new
