Job Description

The Department of the Navy is hiring an Electronics Mechanic Leader (WL-11) for its shipyard and maintenance facilities, with a primary location at Point Loma Complex in San Diego, CA.

Salary / Pay Package: $35 - $53 per hour.

Qualification

This WL-11 Electronics Mechanic Leader position requires demonstrated ability to lead or supervise, which is the screen-out element. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the quality of your experience and training, not necessarily the length of time. You must show through experience and training that you possess the knowledge and skill to perform the duties at this level.

Role Responsibilities

Provide on-the-job technical guidance, coordination, and leadership to a work group of electronics mechanics.

  • Pay range: $34.97
  • $53.30 per hour (WL-11 grade).

  • This is a bargaining unit position and may require travel on military and commercial aircraft.
  • Work may involve exposure to high noise levels, fumes, dust, heat, radiation, and chemicals; personal protective equipment is required.
