Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) is a major airport serving the Cincinnati region and beyond, with over 7,000 acres, four runways, and a $10.5 billion annual economic impact (2024). It is owned and operated by the Kenton County Airport Board. CVG is one of the fastest growing airports in the nation, supporting more than 49,000 direct and indirect jobs. The airport is home to DHL Express' Americas hub and Amazon Air's main hub, making it the 6th largest cargo airport in North America. CVG is committed to being an essential part of the region's growth through teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement, guided by its 2021-2025 strategic plan, New Heights.
As of July 2026, CVG continues to expand its air service and cargo operations. Recent developments include DHL launching freighter service between Bangkok and CVG, Breeze Airways adding two new seasonal nonstop destinations (Portland, ME and Greenville, SC), and Southwest Airlines starting nonstop flights to Austin, Texas. The airport also opened a new Escape Lounge and VV The Italian Experience restaurant in Concourse B. CVG was named Best Regional Airport in North America by Skytrax in March 2026.
