About Community Transit
Community Transit is a public transit agency serving Snohomish County, Washington, and connecting to Seattle and Link light rail. Founded in 1976, the agency provides bus service, Swift bus rapid transit, vanpool, and other transportation options. Its mission is to help people get from where they are to where they want to be, with a vision of travel made easy for all. As of July 2026, Community Transit is celebrating its 50th anniversary. The agency is actively expanding its Swift Green Line with an extension in Bothell, planned to open as early as 2030, and is constructing the North Creek Transit Center expected in 2029. It is also managing temporary service changes due to WSDOT construction at Canyon Park Park & Ride. The agency is hiring for various roles including bus drivers, mechanics, and administrative positions.
