About Dental Clinic - SHAPE
The United States Space Force (USSF) is the newest branch of the U.S. armed forces, established on December 20, 2019, to protect and defend American interests in, from, and to space. As a separate military service under the Department of the Air Force, the USSF consolidates satellite acquisition, budget, and workforce from over 60 organizations into a unified, efficient service for space operations. The Space Force organizes, trains, and equips military and civilian Guardians to provide space capabilities to the joint force, including space launch, satellite command and control, and space domain awareness. With headquarters at the Pentagon and major installations in California, Colorado, and Florida, the USSF operates worldwide to ensure U.S. and allied access to space capabilities.
As of July 2026, the U.S. Space Force continues to expand its capabilities and workforce. Recent milestones include the launch of the Initial Enlisted Bonus Pilot Program offering $25,000 bonuses for eight-year contracts, the integration of 18 part-time Guardians from the Air Force Reserve, and the deployment of Guardian astronaut Col. Anil Menon to the International Space Station. The Space Development Agency awarded $1.75 billion for 36 missile defense satellites under the Golden Dome for America initiative. The service also graduated 54 officers from its Officer Training Course and promoted 843 Guardians in the 2026 Mega Board.
