The Virgin Islands National Guard is hiring an Administrative Assistant (GS-0303-7) to work in the United States Property and Fiscal Officer (USPFO) office located in Kingshill, VI.
This full-time, permanent position supports the USPFO and the Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist by managing the Management Control Program (MCP), coordinating inspection schedules, and serving as the focal point for personnel actions.
Current Virgin Islands Army National Guard members who meet the military grade requirements (E-4 through E-8, or WO1-CW02) and have relevant clerical or office experience are encouraged to apply.
Qualification
To qualify for this GS-7 Administrative Assistant position, you must be a current member of the Virgin Islands Army National Guard in military grades E-4 through E-8 or WO1-CW02. You need general experience in progressively responsible clerical or office work, plus specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties.
- Military Grades: E-4 through E-8; WO1 through CW02.
- Compatible Military Assignments: Must hold or be able to obtain a compatible military assignment in the Virgin Islands Army National Guard.
- General Experience: Progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work showing ability to acquire the knowledge and skills needed for the position.
- Specialized Experience: Experience that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties, typically in or related to the position, equivalent to at least the next lower grade level.
- Education Substitution: Equivalent combinations of post-high school education and experience may be used to meet total experience requirements at grades GS-5 and below.

- Must be a current member of the Virgin Islands Army National Guard.
- If not currently a member, must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed.
Role Responsibilities
Assist in managing the Management Control Program (MCP) by gathering and organizing MCP material, establishing a suspense system, and providing accurate information to Division Chiefs and Managers within the USPFO organization.
- Compile the USPFO input for submission to the CAO.
- Assist the Internal Review Division with validating Army and ANG input prior to transmittal of Annual Assurance Statements to the TAG/USPFO for signature and final submission to the National Guard Bureau.
- Assist in developing inspection schedules, coordinating with managers, and developing inspection areas through analysis of previous inspection results.
- Maintain historical records on all previous external inspections.
- Coordinate in-briefs and exit conferences.
- Serve as the USPFO focal point for all personnel actions including performance evaluations, standards, OER/NCOER, job announcements, and other SF-52 actions.
- Maintain a register of all pending actions and suspense dates.
- Review all documents for accuracy and completeness.
