Job Description

The Tomah VA Medical Center is hiring an Administrative Officer to join the Safety Section Department in Tomah, Wisconsin. In this role, you’ll supply administrative and management assist by analyzing, evaluating, and carrying out administrative procedures and activities.

You’ll run resources, budgets, records collection, and scheme evaluation, and arrange human assets functions for the department. Salary & Compensation

Salary: $50,460 - $80,243 per year.

Qualification

Current federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade.

  • Time-In-Grade: For GS-7, 52 weeks at GS-5; for GS-9, 52 weeks at GS-7. Submit SF-50 showing time-in-grade.
  • GS-7 Specialized Know-how: One year of background equivalent to GS-5, covering reference management, budget development, expense accounting, information analysis, program evaluation, and performance improvement.
  • GS-7 Education: One complete year of graduate-level education or a bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement.
  • GS-7 Combination: A combination of graduate education and specialized expertise.
  • GS-9 Specialized Know-how: One year of background equivalent to GS-7 in the identical domains as above.
  • GS-9 Education: A master's or equivalent graduate degree, or two packed years of progressively higher-level graduate education, or an LL.B. Or J.D. In a related field.
  • GS-9 Combination: A combination of graduate education (beyond the first year) and specialized expertise.
  • Education must be from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Foreign education needs a Certificate of Foreign Equivalency.
  • You must be U.S. Citizens.
  • Selective Service Registration required for males born after 12/31/1959.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Offer overall administrative management of the Safety Section Department.
  • Perform tool management and allocation, budget development, charge accounting, figures collection and analysis, plan evaluation, and performance improvement.
  • Design, organize, and keep up databases and filing systems.
  • Procedure incoming and outgoing correspondence, reports, memoranda, and other written communications.
  • Go to meetings, arrange minutes, and abide by up on action items independently.
  • Organize the personnel management program, such as human tools needs.
  • Assist managers and team with projecting staffing wants, writing role descriptions, developing position analyzes, getting ready performance blueprints, and processing training requests.
