Job Description

Child and Youth Program Assistant (CDC) is listed by 45th Force Support Squadron. The 2 at Patrick Air Force Base, Florida, is seeking a Child and Youth Plan Assistant (CYPA) to perform in the Child Development Center.

This Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) role is versatile, guaranteeing zero hours per week but offering up to 40 hours per week as needed. You’ll be responsible for the safety, supervision, and development of children and youth ranging from 6 weeks to 18 years aged.

As a CYPA, you’ll support with preparing age-appropriate activities, supervise indoor and outdoor play, lead field trips and distinct events, and assist cater to snacks and meals.

At the target level, you’ll coordinate and run activities, generate a welcoming environment, carry out programs for children with unique requires, and brief workforce and parents. Salary & Compensation

Qualification

This role is unseal to all U.S. Citizens and nationals. You must be at least 18 years longstanding, a high school graduate or equivalent, and capable to communicate effectively in English. Eligibility will be verified through the submission questionnaire and required documents.

  • Must be a high school graduate or equivalent (offer diploma or GED).
  • For Target Level: 18 months of know-how in a childcare or youth scheme, plus completion of DoD approved competency-training courses, OR a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or equivalent, OR an associate degree with 24 credit hours in ahead of time childhood education or related field, OR a bachelor's degree with 24 credit hours in a related field.
  • For Intermediate Level: 6 months of background equivalent to CY-01 Entry Level in a cluster program for children or youth, plus completion of 3 AF modules (or equivalent) and AF Orientation Training Plan.
  • For Entry Level: No previous experience required.
  • Education may be substituted for expertise. Foreign education must be evaluated for equivalency.
  • You must be fit to obtain and keep up called for immunizations, including annual influenza vaccination.
  • Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug test, and Child Care Tier 1 background investigation.
  • Must obtain Food Handlers certification within specified time from take on.
  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must be registered for Selective Solution.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Give care, supervision, and accountability for scheme participants.
