Job Description

Child and Youth Program Assistant (CDC) is listed by 45th Force Support Squadron. The 2 at Patrick Air Force Base, Florida, is seeking a Child and Youth Program Assistant (CYPA) to operate in the Child Development Center.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for the safety, supervision, and developmentally appropriate activities for children and youth ranging from 6 weeks to 18 years longstanding. This is a Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) post that backs Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) activities for the Air Force and Space Force.

As a CYPA, you’ll supply care and oversight, assist with getting ready age-appropriate activities, manage indoor and outdoor play, organize snacks and meals, and confirm compliance with policies and regulations.

Salary & Compensation

Salary: $18.07 - $21.92 per hour.

Qualification

  • For Intermediate Level: 6 months background equivalent to CY-01 Entry Level functioning in a cluster plan for children or youth, plus completion of 3 AF modules (or equivalent) and AF Orientation Training Program.
  • For Entry Level: No previous expertise needed.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide care, supervision, oversight, and accountability for scheme participants.
  • Help with getting ready and rolling out age-appropriate activities for children and youth.
  • Oversee children and youth during indoor and outdoor activities, field trips, outings, and unique events.
  • Set up and cater to snacks and meals under plan guidelines.
  • Execute perform under policies, regulations, and scheme standards.
  • At Target Level: Coordinate and run activities for children/youth ages 6 weeks to 18 years.
