Salary & Compensation
Salary: $5,948 - $7,994 per year.
Qualification
This internal transfer chance is unseal exclusively to permanent Washington State Department of Corrections employees who meet the criteria under WFSE Section 2 Supplemental DOC Article 4.7 of the 2025-2027 Collective Bargaining Agreement.
- Present permanent DOC employee.
- Requesting a transfer under WFSE Section 2 Supplemental DOC Article 4.7.
- Must keep permanent status in the existing role.
- Must gather the qualifications for Community Corrections 2 2 as defined by DOC.
- Capacity to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
- Willingness to perform in the Pierce County Gang Unit in Parkland, WA.
- Must comply with the WFSE CBA transfer provisions.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee offenders in the community, making sure compliance with court-ordered conditions.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and gang unit partners to monitor gang-affiliated offenders.
- Conduct field visits, home verifies, and employment verification.
- Get ready reports and documentation for court and parole board hearings.
- Employ evidence-based practices to cut recidivism.
- Respond to violations and initiate suitable enforcement actions.
- Participate in unit meetings and training as called for.

- Must encounter transfer eligibility under WFSE Section 2 Supplemental DOC Article 4.7.
- Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, subject to unit needs.
- Alternate function schedules may not be honored.
- Post is located in Parkland, WA (Pierce County).
