The City of Alexandria, LA is hiring a Crew Leader for Animal Control and the Animal Shelter.

Role Responsibilities
Lead and supervise assigned staff, including training, evaluating performance, and addressing concerns.
- Coordinate daily work activities, prioritize assignments, and monitor progress.
- Capture unlicensed, stray, sick, or injured domestic animals, livestock, and wildlife using traps, catch poles, or other humane methods.
- Transport captured animals to the animal shelter.
- Enforce city animal control ordinances by issuing warnings and citations.
- Investigate and respond to complaints of animal cruelty and ordinance violations.
- Work with other law enforcement agencies as needed.
- Testify in court regarding animal control cases.
- Maintain records and reports of activities.
- Provide technical expertise and assist staff with complex situations.

- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and on-call as needed.
- Physical ability to handle animals and work outdoors in all weather.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
