Job Description
Los Alamitos Unified School District is hiring an Extended Day Care Center Assistant to implement instructional activities for children at multiple sites.
Under the direction of the Extended Day Care Center Supervisor, you’ll produce and maintain an reliable learning environment, set up positive relationships with parents, and assist each child's person needs.
This full-time role follows a function schedule consistent with the operation of the Extended Day Care Center, which may differ from the general district calendar.
This role is best-suited for someone who enjoys functioning with children in an organized setting and can balance layout with a natural, informal atmosphere.
You’ll perform with the Site Supervisor, Lead Assistant, volunteers, and parents to make sure a positive background for all children.
Salary & Compensation
Pay / Cover Package: $21 - $26 per hour.
Qualification
To qualify for this role, you demand a combination equivalent to graduation from high school and some know-how working with youth in an organized setting. Called for immunizations involve Pertussis, Flu, and Measles.
- Graduation from high school or equivalent.
- Some experience operating with youth in an organized setting.
- Expertise of general requires and behavior of children.
- Competency in interpersonal and set dynamics.
- Familiarity with rules and regulations affecting operation of the Center.
- Aptitude to form and keep up productive functioning relationships.
- Capacity to give for health, safety, and psychological demands of children.
- Pertussis, Flu, and Measles immunizations needed.
Role Responsibilities
Carry out a everyday plan that meets the wants of each person child, considering interests, distinct requires, talents, and learning pace.
- Build and uphold an effective and attractive physical environment for learning.
- Supply a climate that supports children build self-esteem and positive social abilities.

- Set up positive relationships with parents of the students.
