Job Description

The Dublin San Ramon Services District (DSRSD) is recruiting a Finance Supervisor - Accounting to supervise the Accounting Division of the Finance Department. This role is central to keeping up the District's financial integrity and reporting excellence.

Under the direction of the Finance Director, you’ll hand over correct, timely, and compliant financial info as keeping up strong internal controls, guiding a dedicated team, and promoting sturdy financial stewardship and transparent accounting operations.

Main operate in this role covers managing and executing wrap up month-end and year-end close cycles.. Including getting ready and posting journal entries.. Reconciling accounts.. Reviewing financial activity for accuracy.. Coordinating close schedules to ensure timely and exact financial statements..

And preparation of the Annual complete Financial Report (ACFR). You’ll also manage day-to-day general ledger operations by reviewing and approving journal entries, keeping up ledger accuracy, and advising on chart of accounts layout, changes, and classifications.

Salary & Compensation

Salary: $13,389 - $16,274 per year.

Qualification

You must have a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a tightly related field and at least four years of progressively responsible skilled accounting expertise, such as two years of supervisory or lead background. A master's degree or CPA certification is preferred.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supervise everyday general ledger operations, reviewing and approving journal entries.
  • Advise on chart of accounts structure, alters, and classifications.
  • Manage and walkthrough accounting team, providing training and performance feedback.
  • Make sure compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulatory needs.
