The City of Campbell is looking for a technically strong and passionate Human Resources professional to be our next Human Resources Analyst. As our HR Analyst, you will have a generalist role that focuses on recruitment, classification & compensation, leaves, and training.
You will also assist with other program areas including, but not limited to, benefits administration, workers compensation/safety, and employee/employer relations. We are a small but mighty team composed of an HR Manager, HR Analyst, HR Representative, and Office Assistant.
As a division within the City Manager's Office, we work alongside our colleagues to strengthen our workplace culture and organizational performance.
Qualification
This role requires a technically strong HR professional with experience in recruitment, classification, compensation, leaves, and training.
- Experience in human resources generalist functions, including recruitment, classification, compensation, leaves, and training.
- Knowledge of benefits administration, workers compensation/safety, and employee/employer relations.
- Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to problem solve and find creative solutions.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a small team environment.
- Experience with public sector HR is preferred but not required.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
Role Responsibilities
Develops, plans, coordinates and administers recruitment and examination processes.
- Conducts classification and compensation studies and makes recommendations.
- Administers leave programs, including FMLA, PDL, and other leave types.
- Coordinates training and development programs for employees.
- Assists with benefits administration, including open enrollment and employee inquiries.
- Supports workers compensation and safety programs.
- Provides guidance on employee/employer relations issues.
- Collaborates with HR team and City Manager's Office to strengthen workplace culture.
Conditions & Requirements
Must be able to pass a background check.
- May be required to work occasional evenings or weekends for events.
- Valid California driver's license may be required.
- Must be able to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Probationary period as per City policy.

Competitive salary range of $120,973
- $147,118 per year.
