Job Description

You will serve as an Inventory Management Specialist within the Marine Corps Logistics Command (LOGCOM) at Albany, GA. In this role, you will develop guidance for logistics systems and system modifications, ensuring integration with LOGCOM's Secondary Reparable (SECREP) management protocols and the Accountable Property System of Record (APSR).

You will brief senior leaders and program managers on SECREP operational readiness and propose strategic supply chain solutions. Additionally, you will lead analytical studies, manage quality control programs to optimize SECREP inventory control, and oversee physical inventory reconciliation to maintain audit readiness for high-value assets.

This position is ideal for experienced supply professionals who want to apply their expertise in a mission-critical environment supporting Marine Corps readiness.

Salary & Compensation

Salary: $102,246 - $132,923 per year.

Qualification

To qualify, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent in the private/public sector.

Specialized experience must include researching and implementing improved supply methods, developing new guidelines, and investigating complex supply problems while providing logistics support to ensure readiness.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop guidance for logistics systems and system modifications, ensuring integration with LOGCOM, SECREP management protocols, and APSR procedures.
  • Brief senior leaders, LOGCOM site representatives, and program managers on SECREP operational readiness and propose strategic supply chain solutions.
  • Develop, refine, and interpret inventory management policies aligned with retail and wholesale level requirements from local Repairable Issue Point (RIP) and LOGCOM Supply Management Activity Group (SMAG).
  • Lead analytical studies and manage quality control programs to optimize SECREP inventory control, retrograde processing, and receipt functions.
  • Oversee physical inventory reconciliation and maintain financial documentation for high-value assets, coordinating with LOGCOM to ensure SECREP audit readiness.
