Job Description

The County of Humboldt Information Technology Division is looking for an IT Security Officer I/II to join its customer-focused team.

This role performs a diverse range of analytical duties supporting the countywide information security program, including security awareness, risk assessment, business impact analysis, disaster recovery, and business continuity. You will monitor and evaluate the County's information security posture daily and perform related duties as assigned.

Salary & Compensation

Salary: $33.07 - $45.73 per hour.

Qualification

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform analytical duties to support the countywide information security program.

  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Monitor and evaluate the County's information security posture daily.
  • Respond to security incidents and coordinate remediation efforts.
  • Collaborate with IT staff and other departments to ensure security proven methods.
  • Assist in the development and enforcement of security policies and procedures.
  • Stay current with emerging security threats and technologies.
  • Prepare reports and documentation on security activities and findings.

Conditions & Requirements

  • May require a valid California driver's license.
  • Ability to work onsite at the County of Humboldt offices in Eureka, CA.
  • May be required to work occasional evenings or weekends for incident response.
