Job Description

The Air Education and Training Command (AETC) is hiring a Lead General Business and Industry Specialist to serve as the Lead Activations Specialist for the Marketing Outreach Division at Randolph AFB, Texas.

In this role, you will manage, organize, plan, and coordinate national, regional, and local marketing activities, leading a team of civilian Activations Specialists. You will act as a liaison between unit marketing activities and the Marketing Division for campaigns and programs.

This position is ideal for experienced marketing professionals who have a background in event planning, public engagement, and campaign development within a federal or large organizational setting.

Qualification

To qualify for this GS-13 position, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the federal service. This experience must include assisting in organizing, planning, and coordinating local, regional, and national marketing activities, including traditional and leading-edge activation methods.

  • Ability to apply current advertising industry standards, requirements, methods, trends, techniques, and practices.
  • Ability to develop effective advertising materials for different target audiences.
  • Knowledge of marketing and recruitment goals, trends, and strategic philosophy.
  • Ability to apply marketing program concepts, written and oral communication principles, techniques, and analytical methods.
  • Knowledge of contracting processes and proper behavior when dealing with contractors.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, including preparing briefings, talking papers, or other products describing programs.
  • Knowledge to effectively analyze, plan, organize, and execute a budget plan in support of marketing activities.
Role Responsibilities

Serve as a Team Leader to plan, organize, and direct the activities of the Marketing Event Activations team.

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute event planning and execution for regional activations, demonstrations, and public engagements.
  • Plan, organize, coordinate, and execute regional marketing activities.
  • Act as a liaison across the agency to cultivate relations with other marketing teams and their leadership.
  • Oversee local and regional activations programs and develop campaigns to complement those events.
  • Manage, organize, plan, and coordinate national, regional, and local marketing activities.
  • Lead a team of civilian Activations Specialists.
  • Serve as liaison between unit marketing activities and the Marketing Division for marketing campaigns/programs.
Conditions & Requirements

Males must be registered for Selective Service.

  • If authorized, PCS will be paid IAW JTR and AF Regulations.
  • If receiving an authorized PCS, you may be subject to completing/signing a CONUS agreement.
  • This position is subject to provisions of the DoD Priority Placement Program.

  • Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.
