Qualification

To qualify for this GS-12 Lead Resource Management Specialist position, you must meet one of the listed employment authority categories and have specialized experience equivalent to GS-11. The job does not have an education requirement.

  • Specialized Experience: Experience analyzing complex financial documents to recommend solutions; reviewing current and prior year obligations, reimbursable orders, and/or funding requests to ensure accuracy; advising management of problems disclosed from analysis of resource management and/or budget information.
  • Time in Grade: Applicants who have held a GS position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade (GS-11).
  • Experience includes paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps).

Role Responsibilities

Provides expert guidance of a financial nature and coordinates with higher headquarters regarding direct and reimbursable funds.

  • Receives, reviews, records, processes, and monitors reimbursable/direct cite customer order execution to ensure program funds are not misappropriated.
  • Reviews changes and provides interpretation of regulatory guidance pertaining to direct and reimbursable program management; acts to facilitate operational and policy changes.
  • Coordinates financial functions/activities to ensure that urgent supply requirements are not delayed due to financial restraints.
  • Participates in the development, periodic review, and revision of standard operating procedures applicable to financial management and accounting operations.
  • Leads a team in identifying, distributing, and balancing workload and tasks among employees in accordance with established workflow, skill level, and/or occupational specialization.
