Job Description

The 180 Fighter Wing of the Ohio Air National Guard is hiring a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST to run, frank, and carry out deployment guidance for the wing.

As the Installation Deployment Officer, you’ll act for the Commander on all matters related to deploying personnel and equipment in support of Aerospace Expeditionary Forces, contingency operations, and exercises.

You’ll analyze time-phased force deployment records, create plan annexes, and coordinate with aircraft maintenance, supply, transportation, civil engineering, and operations units to make sure mission-ready deployment capabilities.

This role is best-suited for experienced logistics professionals who comprehend military deployment procedures and can lead integrated planning efforts across multiple functions.

Salary & Compensation

Salary: $89,508 - $116,362 per year.

Qualification

To qualify for this GS-12 LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST role, you must have specialized background equivalent to at least the GS-11 level. This expertise must demonstrate the knowledge, abilities, and abilities needed to perform deployment planning and logistics management responsibilities. There’s no education substitution for this grade.

  • Specialized know-how: Background that equipped you with the particular insight, competencies, and capacities to deal with the tasks of the role, usually in or related to logistics management.
  • Specialized expertise must be equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-11) in the typical line of progression.
  • This role doesn’t have an education qualification condition.
  • Must be able to obtain and uphold the fitting security clearance.
  • Must be a present federal employee of the hiring agency (Ohio Air National Guard) – internal to agency.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manages, directs, and implements installation deployment guidance located on higher headquarters regulations and directives.
  • Serves as the Installation Deployment Officer (IDO), acting for the Commander on deployment actions for AEF, contingency operations, OOTW, and exercises.
  • Reviews USAF, NGB, and MAJCOM deployment procedures to analyze influence and suggest modifications for the wing and subordinate units.
  • Establishes deployment policy and procedures for integrated efforts of aircraft maintenance, supply, transportation, civil engineering, operations, and supported units.
  • Guarantees units meet pre-execution and command and control conditions for deployments.
  • Analyzes time-phased force deployment needs to grow blueprint annexes and schedules for wing deployment execution.
  • Schemes and organizes logistics war planning and mission crucial deployment operations.
