The Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) is hiring a MANAGEMENT ANALYST to serve as the center's pro on all records management matters at the Columbus site in Whitehall, Ohio.
In this role, you’ll ensure compliance with Department of War and GAO regulations, blueprint and keep up the records management plan, and create official publications and disaster recovery blueprints. You’ll run management studies to refine efficiency in file institution, space use, and records disposition.
This role also involves reviewing records destruction requests, procuring equipment, and setting up training programs. The role is full-time, permanent, and not telework-eligible.
It’s open to present, permanent DFAS employees in the competitive offering, DFAS VRA employees in the nearby commuting sphere, and eligible DoD PPP Military Spouse preference candidates.
Salary & Compensation
Salary: $64,406 - $83,733 per year.
Qualification
To qualify for this GS-9 MANAGEMENT ANALYST post, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-07 in the federal solution. Specialized expertise involves assisting in records management programs, registering federal laws and DoD regulations, or participating in management studies. Education may substitute for background.
- One year of specialized know-how equivalent to GS-07 in the federal offering.

- Background putting in federal laws, DoD regulations, or policies to make sure compliance with records maintenance, storage, and disposal requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Cater to as the center's expert on all records management matters, securing compliance with Department of War and GAO regulations and policies.
- Strategy, build, and uphold the records management scheme, covering development and examine of official publications and disaster recovery blueprints.
- Carry out management studies and surveys to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and economy of records management operations, including file organization, space apply, and disposition.
- Evaluate and approve requests for records destruction.
- Procure essential equipment for records management.
- Establish and run records management training programs for supported activities.
- May require to lift up to 20 lbs. When handling physical records.
