MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELOR 1 - UNDERFILL is listed by State of Nevada (NV) in 1. The Division of Child and Family Solutions is hiring a Mental Health Counselor 1 to underfill a Mental Health Counselor 2 role on the Child and Adolescent Mobile Crisis Response Staff (MCRT) in Las Vegas.
This group receives and triages calls from families and community partners, responding in pairs to children experiencing a mental or behavioral 1 crisis. Responses occur in schools, homes, and other community settings.
Counselors finish semi-structured assessments, offer prompt support and interventions, and collaborate with the Psychiatric Caseworker, youth, and family to generate safety blueprints. The target is to maintain youth protected and keep up them in their homes, schools, and communities whenever feasible.
Teams may remain involved for up to 45 days to provide clinical and case management offerings. This role serves as the clinical lead on the MCRT.

Salary: $66,920 - $99,368 per year.

- Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Nevada.
- Know-how providing straight clinical solutions to children and adolescents in crisis settings.
- Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques, mental 1 assessment, and case management.
- Capacity to perform in a crew environment and collaborate with community partners.
- Legitimate driver's license and aptitude to travel to various community locations.
- Willingness to work versatile hours, covering evenings and weekends as needed.
- Thriving completion of a background review and fingerprinting.
- Capacity to uphold confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Obtain and triage crisis calls from families and community partners.
- Respond in teams to children and adolescents experiencing mental or behavioral 1 crises in schools, homes, and community settings.
- Carry out semi-structured assessments to evaluate safety and immediate requires.
- Give crisis counseling, aid, and instant interventions.
- Grow safety and treatment schemes collaboratively with the Psychiatric Caseworker, youth, and family.
- Deliver clinical and case management services for up to 45 days per family.
- Assist as the clinical lead on the Mobile Crisis Response Staff.
- Coordinate with schools, healthcare providers, and other agencies to guarantee continuity of care.
- Document all interactions and maintain exact clinical records.
- Participate in group meetings, training, and supervision.
