As an Operations Support Specialist with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Offerings (USCIS), you’ll perform in the Management Directorate, Intake and Document Production, Document Management Division.

Qualification

To qualify for the GS-07 level, you need one year of specialized expertise equivalent to GS-05, such as working equipment to produce safe documents, using technology systems to support operations, registering guidelines, and communicating effectively. Alternatively, one year of graduate education or superior academic achievement may substitute. For GS-09.. One year of specialized know-how equivalent to GS-07 in troubleshooting secure document machines.. Providing technical back.. Researching issues.. And performing grade assurance is called for; a master's degree or two years of graduate education may substitute.

  • U.S. Citizenship or U.S. National needed.
  • GS-07: One year of specialized background equivalent to GS-05, including running equipment to produce protected documents, using technology systems to aid day-to-day operations, applying guidelines and procedures, and communicating effectively to support mission objectives.
  • GS-07: One packed year of graduate education (18 semester or 27 quarter hours) from an accredited institution may substitute for expertise.
  • GS-07: Superior academic achievement (upper third of class, GPA 3.0+ overall or 3.5+ in major, or honor society membership) may substitute for know-how.
  • GS-09: One year of specialized background equivalent to GS-07, covering troubleshooting and resolving safe document machines and systems, providing technical assist on inquiries, researching and analyzing info to improve efficiency, and performing quality assurance on protected documents.
  • GS-09: A master's degree or two complete years of graduate education (36 semester or 54 quarter hours) in any field may substitute for experience.

Role Responsibilities

Run warehouse equipment such as production printers, scanners, and forklifts to produce safe documents.

  • Arrange and handle complete everyday, weekly, and annual reports to ensure accuracy and accountability.
  • Safeguard protected documents and organize distinct mailings using the Safe Mail Initiative (SMI).
  • Run caliber assurance inspects on protected documents and notices to pinpoint discrepancies and guarantee consistency.
  • Perform research to spot and resolve matters, carry out corrective actions, and give recommendations to enhance scheme efficiency.
  • Apply technology systems to back day-to-day operations and uphold precise, organized information.
  • Troubleshoot machines and systems to keep up the warehouse area.
  • Offer technical support by responding to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.

Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National.

  • Successfully pass a Background Investigation including financial disclosure.
