Job Description

The Physician Assistant (Main Care) serves the Central Texas VA Health Care System at the Brownwood VA Clinic, situated at 2600 Memorial Park Drive, Brownwood, TX 76801. This role is portion of the Ambulatory Care Solution and centers on community-based outpatient clinical care.

The PA independently handles a panel of general medicine patients, functioning as their leading care provider. Function in this role covers performing history and physical exams, ordering and evaluating lab tests, providing preventive medicine solutions, managing chronic disease issues, and coordinating outpatient follow-up care.

The PA must reveal insight of age-related care and be adaptable to meet offering line wants. Telework isn’t available, and relocation incentives aren’t cleared. Perform schedule is generally Monday-Friday, 0730-1600 CST, with doable extended hours and weekends.

You must be willing to operate irregular hours and be assigned to other locations if required.

Salary & Compensation

Pay / Cover Package: $114,291 - $180,592 per year.

Qualification

  • Master's degree in any discipline, OR a bachelor's degree in any discipline with one year of experience as a Physician Assistant.
  • Winning passage of the PA National Certifying Exam (PANCE) or in the routine of taking the exam.
  • Present complete and unrestricted license to practice in a State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia.
  • Grade determinations set on know-how and demonstrated KSAs: PA-I (entry level), PA-II (intermediate, 2 years practice or postgraduate residency or doctoral degree), PA-III (packed performance, 3 years practice or postgraduate residency).
  • Must pass pre-employment physical examination and urinalysis drug screening.
  • Selective Solution Registration required for males born after 12/31/1959.
  • Participation in seasonal influenza vaccination program called for for all VA Health Care Personnel.
  • Must wrap up a background/security investigation and online onboarding procedure.

Role Responsibilities

  • Oversee a panel of general medicine patients as their principal care provider.
