Qualification

To qualify, you must be a U.S. Citizen (non-citizens may be appointed only when qualified citizens can’t be recruited) and grip a Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from an approved school.

Board certification or board eligibility in Internal Medicine is called for, along with a current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine.

  • Completion of residency training approved by the ACGME or AOA, or equivalent expertise as defined in the qualification standard.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Preferred Know-how: Teaching experience for at least 2 years; should be open nights and weekends.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supply straight inpatient care as attending physician on the hospitalist offering, keeping up clinical proficiency.
  • Lead the hospitalist staff covering team physicians, advanced practice providers, and residents.
  • Grow and implement clinical policies, procedures, and protocols to optimize patient care and clinical outcomes.

  • Monitor clinical performance and patient outcomes; identify prospects for improvement.
  • Carry out evidence-based practices and gather or exceed suitable caliber benchmarks.
  • Supervise reporting of performance metrics, adverse events, and use records.
  • Give mentoring, training, and education to workforce and trainees.
