The Scheme Assistant aids the day-to-day operations of the office, the student employment program, supervises student employees, coordinates profession events and employer visits, and facilitates the Handshake path management platform.
Salary & Compensation
Salary: $19 per hour.
Qualification
You should have powerful organizational and client solution expertise, with the ability to run multiple duties and manage student employees. Background in happening coordination and familiarity with profession offerings platforms like Handshake is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
- At least one year of office administration or customer offering experience.
- Expertise supervising or training student workers or volunteers.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and database management.
- Familiarity with Handshake or alike path management platforms is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Aptitude to work independently and as portion of a staff.
- Commitment to serving a diverse community of students, faculty, and employers.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Support everyday operations of the Center for Profession & Skilled Development, creating a welcoming environment for students, employers, faculty, team, and alumni.
- Respond to inquiries and straight communications with professionalism, accuracy, and excellent user solution.
- Recruit, train, and oversee student front desk and marketing employees.
- Monitor student assistants' exact collection and reporting of information.
- Arrange path events, employer visits, and workshops, such as logistics and communication.
- Facilitate the Handshake profession management platform, including posting roles, managing student profiles, and generating reports.
- Aid with the student employment plan, covering role postings and onboarding.
- Keep up office supplies, equipment, and inventory.
- Back marketing and outreach efforts for career solutions programs.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned to assist the center's mission.
