Job Description
The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) is hiring a Program Manager to lead division-level operations within the PEO (T) & JSF SE Division, Support Equipment Department at Lakehurst, New Jersey.
In this role, you will provide leadership and supervision for personnel, manage resources and priorities, and oversee programmatic execution across a diverse portfolio of support equipment efforts.
You will coordinate engineering, logistics, and program management to support the design, development, fielding, and in-service support of PEO(T) platforms.
Qualification
To qualify, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 (NM-04 pay band) level in federal service or equivalent private/public sector experience. This role is open to current federal employees of NAWCAD Lakehurst and NAVAIR HQ, as well as eligible military spouses, veterans, and others as specified.

- Experience analyzing large-scale programs to forecast budgets, reduce costs, and advise senior management on resources such as staffing, facility space, and equipment.
- Experience providing overall direction and coordination of all facets of a major technological program.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Role Responsibilities
Provide division-level leadership and supervision for personnel, workload, and day-to-day operations.
- Manage resources, priorities, and staffing to align with mission requirements and department objectives.
- Oversee programmatic execution across a diverse portfolio of support equipment efforts.
- Provide engineering, logistics, and program management expertise for design, development, initial outfitting, site activation, fielding, and in-service engineering and logistics support of PEO(T) platforms.
- Coordinate, integrate, and manage functional specialists to ensure requirements are met with traceable, supportable, and affordable design solutions.
- Analyze large-scale programs to forecast budgets, reduce costs, and advise senior management on resource needs.
- Establish long-term task priorities and determine work procedures and methods.
- Guide employees and supervisors to accomplish operational objectives.
- Assign and direct work, prepare performance plans, monitor performance, and arrange employee training or development.
Conditions & Requirements
Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date.

- This position may require travel CONUS and OCONUS, including remote or isolated sites, and travel on military and commercial aircraft.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA); certification in the Functional Area and Tier, along with Continuous Learning points, is required.
- This is a designated Critical Acquisition Position (CAP); you must sign a three-year tenure agreement prior to assuming the position unless a waiver is approved.
