Recycling Specialist II, SR-18

To qualify for the Recycling Specialist II, SR-18, you need some experience applying principles of recycling, reuse, and waste reduction programs. This role is for candidates who can perform selected assignments under close supervision, moving beyond the trainee level.

• Some experience in recycling, reuse, or waste reduction programs, applying principles and techniques.
• Ability to perform assignments under close supervision with moderate difficulty.
• Knowledge of county-wide recycling, reuse, and waste reduction program concepts.
• Skills in educational promotional and informational activities.
• Ability to assist in demonstration projects related to recycling.
• Must meet the County Of Maui's hiring requirements for SR-18 level positions.

Assist in implementing and coordinating county-wide recycling, reuse, and waste reduction programs.

• Support demonstration projects that showcase recycling and waste reduction techniques.
• Conduct educational promotional and informational activities to raise public awareness.
• Perform assignments from simple to moderately difficult under close supervision.
• Apply principles, techniques, and concepts pertinent to the County's recycling programs.
• Coordinate with other staff and departments to ensure program effectiveness.
• Prepare reports and documentation related to program activities.
• Perform other related duties as required.
