Job Description

The Regional Integrated Prevention Coordinator is responsible for planning, managing, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating training, education, and outreach for integrated primary prevention programs at the region and installation levels.

This role supports Commander Navy Region Korea in addressing problematic behaviors including suicide, sexual harassment, assault, substance misuse, family and interpersonal violence, workplace violence, and military equal opportunity.

The coordinator collaborates with subject matter experts and stakeholders to set collective goals, improve efficiencies, and ensure programs align with organizational objectives.

Qualification

To qualify for this GS-13 position, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in federal service or the private/public sector. Specialized experience includes managing prevention programs, evaluating outcomes, and ensuring accountability. You must also meet the basic education requirement: a degree in behavioral or social science, or a combination of education and experience.

Role Responsibilities

Plan, manage, coordinate, implement, and evaluate training, education, and outreach for integrated primary prevention programs at Region and installation levels.

  • Assist in program management and support Regional prevention action plans, initiatives, and assessments.
  • Provide insights to leaders at various levels to inform program updates and address prevention gaps.
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts across programs to implement prevention events and training/education.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify collective goals, intended outcomes, and optimal methods to increase efficiencies and integration.
  • Address problematic/destructive behaviors including suicide, sexual harassment, sexual assault, substance misuse, family and interpersonal violence, workplace violence, and military equal opportunity.
  • Manage programs and supports an environment that administers all resources in a manner that instills public trust while accomplishing the mission.

Conditions & Requirements

Must be a U.S. Citizen.

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
