The Office of Shared Administration (WV) is hiring a Registered Nurse to work in the operating room at Welch Community Hospital in McDowell, WV. As a perioperative nurse, you will care for patients before, during, and after surgery.
You may serve as a scrub nurse, selecting and passing instruments and supplies, or as a circulating nurse managing overall nursing care and maintaining a safe environment. The surgical unit includes Day Surgery, PACU, Central Supply, Perioperative Services, and Surgical Clinic.
This role requires mandatory overtime as an essential function.
Qualification
Applicants must be a Registered Nurse (R.N.) with the ability to work in a perioperative setting. The role requires successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screening. All employees are subject to drug testing for probable cause.

Role Responsibilities
Provide complete perioperative nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgery.
- Serve as a scrub nurse, selecting and passing instruments and supplies for operations.
- Serve as a circulating nurse, managing overall nursing care in the operating room.
- Help maintain a safe, comfortable environment for patients and surgical teams.
- Collaborate with surgeons and surgical teams using a multidisciplinary approach.
- Perform duties across Day Surgery, PACU, Central Supply, Perioperative Services, and Surgical Clinic.
- Perform related duties as required.
