Job Description

Reporting to a Special Education Administrator, you will provide services to students ages 3 to 21 with a range of moderate to severe disabilities.

Teaching environments include resource rooms and self-contained classrooms at the high school level.

Salary & Compensation

Salary: $40,000 - $68,409 per year.

Qualification

Candidates must hold or be eligible for a valid Washington State teaching certificate with a Special Education endorsement. Experience working with students with moderate to severe disabilities is preferred.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide special education services to students with moderate to severe disabilities.
  • Lead the IEP team in developing student learning and behavioral goals.
  • Design and implement curriculum and instructional strategies suited to individual student needs.
  • Assess student progress toward IEP goals and adjust instruction accordingly.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Supports a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress.

Conditions & Requirements

  • Full-time position, 185 days per school year.
  • Regular and reliable attendance required.
  • Must pass a background check.
  • Compliance with ESD 112 policies and procedures.
