Street Maintenance Worker

• Experience in street maintenance, construction, or related field preferred.
• Ability to operate specialized equipment such as pavers, melters, distributors, and loaders.
• Knowledge of asphalt and concrete repair techniques including patching, overlays, crack sealing, and curb/sidewalk replacement.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Commitment to safety and teamwork.
• Effective communication skills.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor and operate heavy machinery.

Perform repairs to asphalt and gravel road surfaces including patching, overlays, and crack sealing.

• Operate specialized equipment such as pavers, melters, distributors, and loaders.
• Load and haul material for street maintenance and repair.
• Perform concrete curb and sidewalk repair and replacement using concrete saws, jack hammers, and specialized raising equipment.
• Perform street cleaning, boulevard, ditch, and right-of-way cleaning.
• Maintain catch basins, storm sewer inlets, and outlets.
• Inspect and maintain city streets, rights-of-way, and signs.
• Assist with snow and ice removal operations as needed.

Full-time, non-exempt, benefit-eligible, union position.

• Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to work overtime, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform manual labor.

Competitive hourly wage of $34.60

• $42.67 per hour, depending on qualifications.
