The City of Eagan is hiring a Street Maintenance Worker to join its public performs group. This role centers on the inspection, maintenance, and repair of city streets, rights-of-way, and signs.

Salary & Compensation
Salary: $34.60 - $42.67 per hour.

- Know-how in street maintenance, construction, or related field preferred.
- Aptitude to run specialized equipment such as pavers, melters, distributors, and loaders.
- Understanding of asphalt and concrete repair techniques including patching, overlays, crack sealing, and curb/sidewalk replacement.
- Legitimate driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Capacity to function outdoors in various weather conditions.

Role Responsibilities
Perform repairs to asphalt and gravel road surfaces such as patching, overlays, and crack sealing.
- Operate specialized equipment such as pavers, melters, distributors, and loaders.
- Load and haul material for street maintenance and repair.
- Perform concrete curb and sidewalk repair and replacement using concrete saws, jack hammers, and specialized raising equipment.
- Perform street cleaning, boulevard, ditch, and right-of-way cleaning.
- Uphold seize basins, storm sewer inlets, and outlets.
- Inspect and keep up city streets, rights-of-way, and signs.
- Help with snow and ice removal operations as needed.
Conditions & Requirements
Full-time, non-exempt, benefit-eligible, union position.
- Must pass a pre-employment background inspect and drug screening.
- Sound driver's license called for.
- Ability to perform overtime, covering evenings and weekends, as needed.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform manual labor.
