Qualification

To qualify for this GS-12 Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist position, you must be a current on-board technician in the Georgia Army National Guard with military grade W1-W3 and compatible MOS 882A. You must have at least 36 months of specialized experience in logistics support operations.   • General Experience: Experience, education or training involving judgment and analytical ability in logistics; experience using computer and automation systems.
  • Specialized Experience: At least 36 months experience identifying activities involving logistical support operations.
  • Experience integrating actions of specialized support activities to develop a complete logistics plan.
  • Experience monitoring program planning, resource and fiscal management, training, manpower management, and/or automated data processing to meet the logistics plan.
  • Experience identifying delays or problems and developing corrective actions.
  • Experience working with people from various levels and backgrounds to elicit cooperation and comply with regulations.
  • No substitution of education for experience is permitted.

Role Responsibilities

Direct development of logistics support plans and guidance for units, organizations, and activities supporting federal and state missions.

  • Integrate command logistics functions: plans, operations, policies, SASMO equipment readiness, command property management, supply discipline, supply excellence, Connelly Food Service Award Program, DoD National Transportation Association Award Program, food service.
  • Evaluate logistics data from JFHQ staff, units, USPFO, NGB and other organizations to direct logistics support plans and policies.
  • Direct establishment of logistics operations cell to support JFHQ Emergency Operations Center for federal and state missions.
  • Advise DOL DCSLOG/G4 on logistics support issues to accomplish mission requirements.
  • Evaluate logistics force modernization program to ensure materiel fielding meets established milestones.
  • Develop and coordinate tactical logistics plans and guidance.

Must be a U.S. Citizen.

  • Must be a current on-board Technician in the Georgia Army National Guard.
  • Must hold military grade W1-W3 with MOS 882A.
  • Designated and/or random drug testing may be required.
  • Selective Service Registration required for males born after 12/31/1959.
  • May be required to serve a probationary period.
  • Subject to background/security investigation; must possess a Secret security clearance.
  • Covered by Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968.
  • May occasionally work other than normal duty hours; overtime may be required.
