Qualification

To qualify, your resume must show at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-12/13 or NM-03 in federal service, or equivalent in private/public sector. This experience must demonstrate advanced logistics management concepts, expert integrated logistics support, diplomacy in negotiations, and expert knowledge of FMS and life-cycle logistics.

  • Knowledge of advanced concepts, principles, and practices of logistics management.
  • Expertise in full range of system integrated logistics support, working with senior management across FMS Program Office.
  • Skill in diplomacy and tact in negotiations, conversations, and correspondence, especially with diverse viewpoints.
  • Expert knowledge of FMS, DoW, other services, organizations, policies, and procedures related to life-cycle logistics support management.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in direct deposit pay program.
  • Must pass E-Verify employment verification check.
  • Time-in-grade requirements must be met by closing date (one year at next lower grade).
Role Responsibilities

Provide overall management of acquisition and life-cycle logistics/maintenance management activities for FMS customers.

  • Ensure effective, efficient planning, budgeting, support, integration, and phasing of all FMS efforts.
  • Resource, plan, budget, support, and coordinate all aspects of support equipment program acquisition/upgrade for FMS customers.
  • Make acquisition and sustainment recommendations concerning FMS program support equipment contracting strategies.
  • Direct logistics activities to provide initial and follow-on logistics support for FMS programs.
  • Lead personnel and organizational resources within a branch or division, including assigning work, setting priorities, mentoring staff, and supports collaboration.
