NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER JACKSONVILLE is hiring a Supervisory Supply Management Specialist to lead supply management operations at Naval Air Station Pensacola, Florida.

Qualification

To qualify for this GS-13 Supervisory Supply Management Specialist position, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. This experience must include supervising product and service branches, providing labor/management guidance, and analyzing supply operations.

  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-12 or pay band in federal service, or equivalent private/public sector experience.
  • Supervising product and service branches at the site.
  • Providing guidance and advice on labor/management issues.
  • Obtaining policy clarification on processes impacting operations and recommending new or revised local directives, policies, and instructions on supply operations.
  • Overseeing administration of timely and effective training for civilian employees.
  • Analyzing metrics and operations independently, resolving difficult issues involving supply processes, work methods, supply data management, and day-to-day operational procedures.
  • Serving as technical expert on complete aspects of supply management functions and providing recommendations to management and higher authority.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in direct deposit pay program.
Role Responsibilities

Collaborate with regional counterparts to direct, coordinate, and administer daily logistics and supply systems operations.

  • Provide technical program management support for NAVSUP Product and Service in compliance with policy and regulations.
  • Review, approve, or adjust priorities for supply operations.
  • Plan and execute funding for financial allocations, phasing plans, staffing plans, statistical reporting, and activity reports.
  • Assist in making decisions over military and civilian personnel within the department.
  • Apply experience, judgment, and innovation to resolve complex supply issues.
  • Ensure organization or facility continuity of operations as a Mission Essential position.
Conditions & Requirements

  • Current federal employees must meet time-in-grade requirements (one year at GS-12).
