The City of Toledo is hiring a Water Treatment Maintenance Worker to support the maintenance of mechanical equipment at water treatment facilities.
Under general supervision, you will assist journeymen and senior maintenance workers in dismantling, repairing, and reassembling motors, pumps, and related equipment.
This role is ideal for individuals with basic mechanical knowledge who are looking to gain hands-on experience in a municipal water treatment environment.

Role Responsibilities
Assist senior plant maintenance worker or journeyman in dismantling, repairing, and reassembling motors, pumps, and related equipment.
- Act as a safety person during maintenance tasks.
- Grease and oil moving parts of engines and other mechanical equipment.
- Connect, fit, cut, and thread pipe and conduit.
- Transport tools and equipment for journeyman or senior maintenance worker.
- Drill holes in concrete, metal, and wood.
- Assist in connecting fitting of pipes and valves.
- Drive light truck to pick up parts and supplies and transport them to job sites.
- Load and unload supplies and tools from truck.
- Clean and police area after job completion.
Conditions & Requirements
Must be able to work under general supervision.
- Must be able to follow directions from journeymen, tradesmen, or higher level water maintenance workers.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks including lifting, carrying, and operating tools.
- Must have a valid driver's license to operate a light truck.
- Must be able to work in a water treatment plant environment.
Benefits
Competitive salary range of $47,538
- $50,041 per year.
