Qualification

To qualify for the Administrative Assistant (Grade 8) position with Yuma County Superior Court, you must meet the education and experience requirements outlined below. This role demands strong organizational skills and the ability to handle confidential information.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years of progressively responsible clerical or administrative support experience.
  • Knowledge of office procedures, filing systems, and record keeping.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to type 40 words per minute (may be tested).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Role Responsibilities

Oversee administrative workflow of the business unit.

  • Apply specific knowledge of policies and procedures to organize and coordinate work.
  • Relieve the work unit of routine administrative detail.
  • Exercise initiative and independent judgment in performing administrative duties.
  • Resolve problems, analyze data, and make decisions.
  • Coordinate and process records, data, and other materials.
  • Perform specialized functions within the work unit as assigned.
  • Compile and maintain files and records.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, and other documents.
  • Answer phones, greet visitors, and respond to inquiries.
