The Veterans Health Administration is hiring a Chiropractor for the Perry, GA CBOC Clinic, part of the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center. This full-time, permanent position involves examination, diagnosis, treatment, and management of non-operative musculoskeletal and neuromuscular conditions.
Chiropractors work as licensed independent providers within VA interdisciplinary teams, including physical medicine and rehabilitation. The role is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), offering up to $200,000 in student loan repayment. This position is open to U.S.
Citizens; non-citizens may be appointed only when qualified citizens cannot be recruited. Telework is available on an ad-hoc basis. The salary range is $106,437 to $138,370 per year.

Qualification
To qualify for this Chiropractor position, you must be a U.S. Citizen (non-citizens may be appointed only when qualified citizens cannot be recruited) and hold a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from an approved school. A current, full, and unrestricted license to practice chiropractic in any U.S.
State or territory is required. For the VP-13 grade, you need 4 years of chiropractic practice or equivalent, or completion of a 3-year residency.

- Doctor of Chiropractic degree from a school approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs for the year completed.
- Approved schools include U.S. schools accredited by the Council on Chiropractic Education, or foreign schools accepted by a U.S. state licensing body.
- Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice chiropractic in a State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia.
- English language proficiency required for direct patient-care positions.
- For VP-13 (Intermediate Grade): 4 years of chiropractic practice or equivalent, OR completion of a 3-year full-time post-graduate residency from an accredited U.S. chiropractic college.
- Demonstrated high level of professional attainment, such as serving as a recognized expert, managing a multi-faceted program, or conducting significant research.
- Applicants pending completion of training or license requirements may be referred but cannot be hired until all requirements are met.
- Currently employed VA physicians who met previous qualification standards are deemed to meet basic requirements.
- Licensure may be waived for research or academic assignments involving no direct patient care.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide examination, diagnosis, treatment, and management of non-operative musculoskeletal and neuromuscular conditions.
- Serve as a licensed independent provider within VA interdisciplinary teams.
- Collaborate with physical medicine and rehabilitation services.
- Participate in clinical research and training as needed.
- Develop innovative diagnostic and treatment techniques.
- Consult on complex chiropractic cases referred from other facilities.
- Maintain full and unrestricted licensure and continuing education requirements.
- Adhere to VA policies, including seasonal influenza vaccination and drug testing.
Conditions & Requirements
- Subject to urinalysis drug screening prior to appointment.
- Selective Service Registration for males born after 12/31/1959.
- Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
- Subject to background/security investigation.
- Must pass pre-employment physical examination.
- Participation in seasonal influenza vaccination program required.
- May be required to serve a probationary period.
