Job Description

Qualification

To qualify for the Code Specialist II

Role Responsibilities

Receive and prioritize reports from the public regarding right-of-way issues.

  • Conduct field inspections of work sites to ensure compliance with city codes and permit conditions.
  • Identify and document violations, and issue notices or citations as necessary.
  • Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and explaining code requirements to the public and contractors.
  • Collaborate with other city divisions and agencies to resolve compliance issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, violations, and enforcement actions.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of compliance programs and procedures.
  • Participate in training and professional development to stay current with code changes and proven methods.
Conditions & Requirements

Full-time work schedule: Monday

  • Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm; alternate schedule may be available.
