The City of Wilmington is hiring a Construction Supervisor to lead and oversee crews responsible for critical infrastructure projects. You’ll arrange maintenance and construction projects, mentor employees, boost procedures, and enforce the highest safety and offering standards.

Qualification

- Know-how supervising construction or maintenance crews in a public operates or similar environment.
- Insight of construction ways, materials, safety regulations, and equipment.

- Background in employee performance appraisal and recommending disciplinary actions.
- Aptitude to participate in interviews and form hiring recommendations.

- Legitimate driver's license and capacity to pass a background review.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage, frank, and evaluate assigned workforce, such as planning and reviewing operate.
- Workflow employee matters and issues, and counsel when fitting.
- Suggest discipline, disciplinary actions, or discharge when necessary.
- Complete employee performance appraisals and participate in meetings and hiring recommendations.
- Act as a liaison between employees and management.
- Train team in operations, policies, and procedures.
- Organize, prioritize, and assign function to encounter task deadlines.
- Organize maintenance and construction projects to make sure safety and caliber standards.
- Monitor venture progress and adjust references as needed.
- Confirm compliance with all safety regulations and town policies.
Conditions & Requirements
- Full-time role based in Wilmington, NC.
- Must be capable to work onsite at the Operations Center and field locations.
- May call for occasional overtime or weekend perform for emergencies.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
- Valid North Carolina driver's license or aptitude to obtain one.
- Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds and operate in various weather conditions.
