Job Description
The State of Washington's Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS), Economic Solutions Administration (ESA), is hiring a Social Service Specialist 2 for the Community Offerings Division at the White Center Community Offering Office in Seattle.
This role is dedicated to the Regional SSI Facilitation Crew, where you’ll aid eligible individuals handle Social Security disability claims.
You’ll assist participants in the WorkFirst and Aged, Blind, or Disabled (ABD) programs by carrying out complete assessments, developing individualized plans, and handing over ongoing case management.
Qualification
You must have a bachelor's degree in social solutions, human offerings, behavioral sciences, or a related field, or equivalent background. One year of expertise as a Social Solution Specialist 1 or in a comparable role is preferred.

Role Responsibilities
Facilitate Social Security disability claims for eligible clients as portion of the Regional SSI Facilitation Group.
- Conduct finish assessments of clients' vocational, medical, psychological, and social needs.
- Create and put in place individualized solution schemes for WorkFirst and ABD participants.
- Give ongoing case management, monitoring progress and adjusting blueprints as needed.
- Assist clients in gathering, coordinating, and sending in documentation for federal disability advantage claims.
- Collaborate with medical providers, community partners, and internal teams to confirm coordinated services.
- Keep up precise and timely case records in the state's case management system.
- Participate in staff meetings and training to remain current on plan policies and procedures.
