Educational Assistant, Special Education (Significant Needs ) - Adams Elementary

To qualify, you must encounter Oregon's Extremely Qualified status as defined by ORS 581-037-0006. This calls for documentation of post-secondary coursework, a degree, or passing a state-approved assessment.

• Aptitude to aid with carrying out individualized education blueprints (IEPs) and behavior assist schemes.
• Efficient communication and interpersonal competencies to operate with students, team, and families.
• Patience, flexibility, and a commitment to student win.

Supply one-on-one or small-group aid to students with notable special demands.

• Implement instructional modifications and accommodations as outlined in IEPs.
• Help with behavior management and positive behavior interventions.
• Back students with day-to-day living expertise, covering feeding, toileting, and mobility as needed.
• Collaborate with distinct education teachers, therapists, and other workforce.
• Monitor student progress and report observations to the supervising teacher.
• Maintain a secure and supportive learning environment.
