Qualification
To qualify for this GS-12 Environmental Protection Specialist position, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent in the private/public sector. Specialized experience must include environmental compliance media management, knowledge of environmental protection laws and permit requirements, and problem-solving using established policies.

Role Responsibilities
Work on environmental protection projects of complex scope involving analysis, development, implementation, and management of environmental programs.
- Provide day-to-day environmental compliance and oversight.
- Manage installation aspects of environmental plans and permits by ensuring compliance with permits issued by local, state, and federal regulatory agencies.
- Maintain knowledge/oversight of compliance status including inspection discrepancies, status of corrective actions, and permit compliance data.
- Respond to and oversee spill response team actions.
- Travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS locations, including remote or isolated sites, using military and commercial aircraft.
Conditions & Requirements
