West Virginia is seeking a Facilities/Equipment Maintenance Technician to join the maintenance department in Kanawha County. Under general supervision, you’ll perform all general preventative maintenance on HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Qualification
You must have graduated from a standard four-year high school or possess a GED, or have finished a four-year apprenticeship scheme or two-year post-secondary technical school.
Four years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid background in heating, cooling, ventilation, or the mechanical or building trades such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or plastering is called for.
- Graduation from a usual four-year high school or GED, or completion of a four-year apprenticeship plan or two-year post-secondary technical school.
- Know-how in air-conditioning, heating, or refrigeration may be substituted for the needed training on a year-for-year basis.
- Aptitude to perform routine maintenance on HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Insight of maintenance spheres covering electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, masonry, carpentry, ventilation, and renovations.
- Capacity to uphold facility grounds such as mowing, trimming, and snow/ice removal.
- Skill in keeping up thorough resource and supply inventories.
- Aptitude to maintain various logs, charts, and finish purchase orders.
- May demand to manage inmate function crews.
- Legitimate driver's license may be called for.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform general preventative maintenance on all HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Perform in all domains of maintenance covering electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, masonry, carpentry, ventilation, and renovations.
- Keep up facility grounds such as mowing, trimming, and snow/ice removal.
- Uphold comprehensive utility and supply inventories.
- Keep up various logs, charts, and finalize purchase orders for the department.
- May supervise inmate operate crews.
- Perform other roles as assigned.
