The North Slope Borough is hiring a Facility Maintenance Specialist to perform routine maintenance on facilities and grounds in Barrow, Alaska. This role is vital for keeping borough buildings and infrastructure secure, functional, and well-maintained in a remote Arctic environment.

Qualification

Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on facilities and grounds, covering carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repairs.
- Keep up and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and security systems.
- Uphold and repair physical layouts as needed.
- Apply power resources and departmental equipment for fundamental carpentry, electrical, mechanical, air conditioning, plumbing, and other repairs.
- Inspect facilities, equipment, and grounds for essential repairs, improvements, or preventative maintenance.
- Keep up accurate records and inventory control/receiving reports.
- Perform janitorial duties on grounds and in facilities.
- Perform responsibilities as assigned by function orders.
- Comply with all safety standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
