Job Description
The City of San Diego is hiring a Finance Analyst III to join the Department of Finance. In this role, you’ll perform the most tricky accounting, finance, and debt-related functions, including reviewing, developing, and getting ready the Citywide budget and monitoring reports.
You’ll deal with extremely intricate or sensitive accounting perform, uphold budgetary and financial records, routine accounts payable and payroll, and lead or oversee expert and clerical staff. Salary & Compensation
Salary: $102,128 - $124,051 per year.

- Lead and/or manage the work of subprofessional and/or clerical workforce.
- Scheme, analyze, and install modifications in financial systems.
- Monitor, recommend, and put in place internal controls related to financial reporting.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Conditions & Requirements
- Employment in a job classification represented by Municipal Employees Association (MEA).
- Scheduled general pay expands: 3.5% reliable 7/1/27, 2% efficient 7/1/28, 2% productive 1/1/29.
- Eligible benefitted employees originally hired on or after July 10, 2021 may have additional compensation openings.
- Must be fit to operate full-time in San Diego, CA.
